RossmoorNews

Rossmoor voting is underway, with two seats up for grabs

Three candidates are running for two seats on the Rossmoor Community Services District board, one of the seats will go to a newcomer no matter what. Twelve motions to fill a vacancy in August showed where the sitting directors stand, though not as neatly as the tallies suggest.

Filing is closed. Four of the nine local seats will not be on your ballot.

Both Los Alamitos Unified trustee seats and both sewer district seats drew no more candidates than there were openings, and have dropped off the Registrar's list of contests on the ballot. Rossmoor, with three candidates for two seats, is the only local district race left for voters to settle.

Two local incumbents have not filed. County filing closes at 5 p.m. today.

Michael Maynard's Rossmoor seat and Marlys Davidson's school board seat are both flagged for the five-day extension, which runs to Wednesday. Rossmoor now has four candidates for two seats. Los Alamitos has published nothing about its own council race.

How we built this

Offices come from the Registrar of Voters' published list of contests on the November 3 ballot and from the City of Los Alamitos, which runs its own council election. Incumbents and terms come from each agency's own board pages and from certified statements of vote.

Candidate filing was still open when this page was built, so it does not list who is running. We will publish the field once filing closes and the Registrar certifies who qualified. Spot something wrong? Tell us.
