Rossmoor voting is underway, with two seats up for grabs

Three candidates are running for two seats on the Rossmoor Community Services District board, one of the seats will go to a newcomer no matter what. Twelve motions to fill a vacancy in August showed where the sitting directors stand, though not as neatly as the tallies suggest.

Rossmoor ballots have been in mailboxes since October 5. Vote centers open Saturday. Two seats on the Rossmoor Community Services District board are on them, and three names: Jo Shade, Jody L. Roubanis and Konya Vivanti, printed in that order. One result is already settled. Rossmoor sits inside Los Alamitos on Orange County's long-range boundary map. The review that could change that is underway now, with a report due at the commission in March. Every sphere review LAFCO has finished this cycle has ended the same way, in a reconfirmation, and the one thing that changes that is a city speaking up.

Filing is closed. Four of the nine local seats will not be on your ballot.
Both Los Alamitos Unified trustee seats and both sewer district seats drew no more candidates than there were openings, and have dropped off the Registrar's list of contests on the ballot. Rossmoor, with three candidates for two seats, is the only local district race left for voters to settle.
